Committees

Government Affairs Committee – This committee meets quarterly to review and assess the needs of our local business in correlation with our City Council.  They are our voice at the Council meetings and keep our members informed of the current issues as they relate to the business community.

Welcome Book Committee – This committee helps coordinate a theme and “look” for the upcoming Welcome Book and Membership Directory. The update the directory so that it is current and offer individual businesses an opportunity to advertise along side the valuable information provided to the community and visitors alike.

Scholarship Committee – The Chamber awards 2 scholarships every year to a couple of High School graduates.  This committee helps review the applications and narrow down the scholarship recipients.

Nomination Committee – This committee is responsible for requesting and confirming nominations for new Executive Board positions that open up annually.  This committee also requests nominations and reviews applications that are submitted for the Chamber Volunteer of the Year and the Chamber Business of the Year, which are awards given at our Annual Dinner.

Annual Celebration Committee – This committee has the pleasure of planning our Annual Celebration; A culmination of the Chamber successes and acknowledgement of the commitment of our members along with some great food and entertainment.  If you love to plan parties, then this is the committee for you!
